School resource officers harm rather than protect kids. It's time for them to go: Opinion indystar.com/story/opinion/…

Correct, the US does not have key ambassadors - with one caveat: it is not due to vague “dysfunction.” It is because GOP Senators have methodically blocked US embassy and military appointments across the world, straining US diplomacy from the migrant crisis to the Middle East.

Alright folks here’s the latest. HamCO GOP Chair Mario Massillamany tells me they registered with that name but that they don’t use it in flyers, mailers, on their website, etc. Also said he hired a PI to track down the number but that it’s “untraceable”

There is a lot of commentary on why Nancy Pelosi was able to succeed with the thinnest of majorities while Kevin McCarthy failed miserably. Of course, the biggest reason is Pelosi’s skill and tenacity. There is more. Democrats, who have many factions, want to solve problems 1/

Axing Indiana’s individual income tax and replacing just half the revenue with a sales tax hike would cost the state’s poorest residents an additional $62 and hand the top 1% of earners a $30,000 tax cut, according to a think tank indianacapitalchronicle.com/2023/10/23/rep… via Leslie

What Norman says here is absolutely true, even though many in media don't want to admit it. Also, there's this: In times of crises, Democrats have been willing to compromise even when it hurt their political prospects. The GOP has not. A few examples... 1/

Democrats are imperfect in ways that don't threaten the very existence of our democracy - but still too beholden to big money, military industrial complex, etc. - while the GOP's imperfections, if not reined in by grown-ups in the party, could be the death of this experiment. 7/

Everyone who tries to defend Trump with a straight face deserves to be laughed at like this in public. Good on this audience. Nancy Mace deserves absolutely zero respect for treating us all like we’re this stupid. If she wants respect, live in reality.

Just saw a Shreve ad on the Colts broadcast where he accuses the mayor of not being around after the Broad Ripple shooting. Blatantly untrue. I, several others, and a room full of reporters were with him that very morning.

EXCLUSIVE: ABC News has obtained video from Georgia prosecutors' interview with ex-Trump attorney Jenna Ellis, in which Ellis tells them she was personally informed by a top Trump adviser that Trump was "not going to leave" the White House — despite losing the 2020 election.

IN charges citizens $21 million annually in credit card convenience fees to access government services. Fees are another form of taxes. Taxpayers fund government, they shouldn’t pay convenience fees. I will file legislation in 2024 to eliminate these fees.

Will say it again - MAGA has broken the US House of Representatives, potentially until 2025. There's no modern precedent for the sabotage we're seeing. Tuberville & Paul have launched a parallel effort to disable the Senate/degrade DOD/State/DHS. The insurrection continues.

The Israeli siege on Gaza has killed thousands of civilians, thousands of children. Millions are without food, water, fuel and medicine. This is dire. What is needed right now is an immediate break in violence to allow for a true negotiated ceasefire. vtdigger.org/2023/11/16/bec…

For all the my vote doesn’t count. Them people gone put who they want in anyway. Well, in Shreveport a Black man won the sheriff’s race by 1 vote. Henry Whitehorn will be the first Black sheriff in the 185 year history of Caddo parish. Now we know this will be challenged, but

Even with 85% of Hoosiers supporting marijuana legalization, Republican leaders have made it clear that they have no plan to pass this measure. It's time to give the people the power to decide this issue. We'll be fighting for ballot initiatives in 2024.

I mean this constructively. All the “everything is a call for genocide” nonsense is bullshit but I think the climate at universities might not be great for some Jewish and Muslim students right now, and that should be spoken of in a human fashion.
