Professor Richard Griffin MBE Shaun Lintern Good thought Richard. There is a supply line to be built from T Level through HCA/Nurse Associate to Degree Apprentices. I call it 2+1+2+2. Seven years to get to registration all fees paid, 5 years in paid work. We are running new to care courses but this would be a key advance.

The Education Academy held a fantastic Away Day with sessions on education and training implications for the hospital of the future. The AI training videos session was very popular.

Just read an interesting journal article evaluating medical students who gained work experience as HCAs. Working as & with HCAs helped students build confidence, empathy & compassion due to nature of HCA work, but also an awareness of how complex HCA work actually is....
