I’ve often said the world of theater is a world of full circles and life long dreams. When I was in NYC looking at colleges in 1997 with my dad we got a ticket to my first Broadway show, a wonderful revival of The Diary Of Anne Frank starring Natalie Portman and George Hearn.

After the show, I spotted a stage manager and he gave George my letter. About 2 months later this picture came to me in the mail and I’ve treasured it ever since.

I don’t think he knows about this and I hope to tell him in person one day. But thank you George, it meant a lot to me then and it does to me now. Holding the Sweeney torch this year has been the greatest honor of my career. Thanks for the inspiration. Fondly, Josh Groban. ❤️💈
