Chris Hopson - I have the greatest respect for you and for the organisation that I used to support as NCD, however on this decision you and the Board are wrong. I have known non GP colleagues who have benefitted from this service and it's naieve to believe that future…

This is correct Brompton Bicycle I am very pro electric bikes but they need to be safe. The one I saw recently would be very unsafe, not just where it was parked in the bike shelter in Crowngate Shopping but also in the owner's home.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/04/1…

Graphic that represents some of the increase workload in General Practice
The number of patients per individual GP has grown to 2300
An agreed safe number is 1800
Govt promised 5000 more GPs in 2015 & 6000 in 2019 but there are 2000 fewer
Govt is not funding retention of GPs

Not only 50% of GP appts are done on the day of request but 5million more appts per month than 2019
More are being done, face to face, with GPs, with fewer GPs, 20% less £/patient real terms funding than 2016 and a further cut this year by NHSE
Media coverage is rarely countered

GP Referendum: 99.2% vote NO to contract imposition

In past decade:
💥2000 fewer GPs
💥1300 fewer surgeries
💥6,000,000 more patients

⏰ Time to call out the constructive dismissal of England general practice

What patients want to receive & what we want to offer ARE THE SAME:

GP appts (Doctor) are up 6.5% which should be applauded & rewarded
But the Government has cut GP Practice funding by 20% in real terms £/patient since 2016 & further 3% cut this year
GP Practice providing MORE Face to Face, on the day, telephone
NO MORE FUNDING
Blame MPs not GPs

We have overwhelmingly voted to reject the Government and NHS England’s 2024/25 GP contract changes.
More than 19,000 GPs and GP Registrars took part in the BMA’s referendum, with over 99% voting ‘no’.
Our message can't be any clearer.
