Just had a Hog Roast party in my garden for over fifty friends. The Vulcan, I having flown 75 different registration numbers in over 20 years in the V-Force, until the last month of its operating life in the RAF in March 1984, certainly had to feature.

Off to Little Gransden Air and Car Show tomorrow with John Davies of Grub Street Publishing. Hope to meet up with any aviation acquaintances. We are Pitch 42. Only too pleased to chat and answer any V-Force questions.

Thank goodness Ellie a non professional dancer won Strictly last night. The West End professional dancer, competing against her and the others, should never have been entered in what is a non professional dance entertainment programme. Just another bad decision by the BBC.

Some years ago Tony Blackman asked me to help him write stories in Vulcan Boys and then co-author Valiant Boys and V-Force Boys with him. I can't repay him enough for those experiences and will never forget our touring the air shows with John Davies. Sadly missed.
