"Consensus among all physicians" will keep schools shut (forever?) b/c decision is about balancing risks and benefits, and people have different values and views. This is as much consensus as one can get: Children hospitals requesting open schools, COVIDScienceOntario NOT against.

With this in mind -and similar data from Israel- we may want to use these amazing vaccines where they help most, ie second doses for higher risk individuals rather than teenagers.

Dr. Kwadwo Kyeremanteng says that schools "should be an essential service" and that closing them down has been shown to have a detrimental impact on kids' mental and physical health. "If we can keep Amazon factories open, if we can keep malls open, we can serve our kids," he said.
