The House of Representatives voted 320-91 yesterday to enshrine in law that certain viewpoints are antisemitic.

Colleges that fail to adopt its definition of antisemitism risk their federal funding.

This is the gov't identifying specific ideas as off-limits.

It does not help those of us who are calling out anti-Semitism on campuses and pushing back against this vile form of bigotry more broadly for legislators to enact laws placing viewpoint-based restrictions on speech. We can fight bigotry without trampling the First Amendment.
