1/2 Sabine Hossenfelder I have read your excellent book. I propose the Universe is not an equation for mathematicians to find, it is akin to Darwin's evolution: a theory, (natural selection) and a mechanism (survival of the fittest) which combine to make a law.

2/2 Sabine Hossenfelder Likewise, the fundamental law of the Universe is more of a "classical" theory supported by a mechanism. Science is uncovering the fabric upon which this law plays out. But the fabric is neither the theory, nor the mechanism of the overriding law. Best Wishes JF
