Today is the beginning of #16DaysOfActivism against gender-based violence and the #IDEVAW. We will be showcasing the work taking place across Scotland, led by the National VAW Network, using the theme Imagine a Scotland without violence against women and girls. #16Days

Women and girls are disproportionately affected by domestic abuse, sexual violence and other forms of violence committed mainly by men. In Scotland, at least four out of five incidents of domestic abuse recorded by police have a female victim and a male accused. #16Days
