Big effort underway this weekend to save paid family leave in the BBB bill. Manchin is opposed, so will likely fail. But 4 Republican women senators have shown interest in the idea and if it is put in a stand-alone reconciliation bill early next year, some form of it could pass.

Moments ago in the Michigan Senate: Every Republican voted to lower corporate taxes and against lowering taxes for low-income workers. Every Democrat voted to lower taxes for low-income workers and against lowering rates for corporations. America, these are your major parties.

Michigan state senator Mallory McMorrow is a great example of why every voice matters, why state and local elections are more important than ever before and why I am proud to support her fellow Michigander Jennifer Conlin in her race for the State House. #HateWontWin

You do not have to sit idly by and worry that the next school shooting will be in your community. You can join us in electing Democrats that believe in sensible gun control. Democrats that are not beholden to the gun lobby. mobilize.us/midems/ You have a choice.

Thinking about this young gay kid as I sit in House Judiciary, about to vote to enshrine civil rights for LGBTQ+ Michiganders. I wish I could go back in time to tell this kid all he never dreamed of. To every LGBTQ+ kid: this is for you. Don’t ever change for anyone. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Out standing with UAW fighting for a fair contract! Did you know the average starting worker makes $17 an hour while CEOs make over $20 million a year? #StandUpUAW !
