Playing a Scrabble-like game online for the first time because of a library patron's advocacy with the developer, who took on the challenge of making a cross-platform accessible game. It's free in beta: big ups to @kg6sxy themisgames.com

You’ve asked for it, and we’re excited to finally release the WCAG 2.2 Map! The resource provides an overview of WCAG and breaks down success criteria by level of conformance. Download it now: intopia.digital/articles/intop… #a11y #accessibility #WCAG

Idk why this person followed me today but let’s use their post as a learning moment. 1. It’s illegal to charge for accessibility. Just ask Zoom. 2. Accessibility isn’t expensive unless you treat it as an afterthought. 3. Disabled people aren’t a small percentage of users.

Yesterday we got #WCAG 2.2 and 9 new criteria. Under the Public Sector Bodies #Accessibility Regulations, you need to work to the latest version to be compliant, so I've written a blog post on what #WCAG22 might mean for you! #a11y craigabbott.co.uk/blog/wcag-22-a…

I really like this as an example of an accessibility issue that may well not be detected in testing and also shows the variation in what screen readers announce to users. #a11y

It's great to see more accessibility apprenticeships become available. We need lots more accessibility folk to be able make a real impact. If you have an interest in accessibility but aren't sure where to start, check this out!

You are getting on my very last nerve now M&S For more than a month I have had to negotiate all your extra Xmas plinths but now can’t even access the fruit. Is this a deliberate attempt to get rid of your wheelchair using customers ? #TakingTheDis

When The Rest Is Politics mentioned disability & 29 February, I hoped they'd talk about transcriptless podcasts excluding deaf+hard of hearing people as well as the 1 in 17 marking #RareDiseaseDay pushing for better healthcare. Alas. Overlooked again.

This look like a fantastic scheme to both increase accessibility and employment of disablex people. Share with those who may be interested.

Yup. Between showers, unlabelled mixer taps and two button flushes, the bathroom is a usability and accessibility desert.

Public toilets are a basic accessibility need and their wholesale closure to save a few quid should be treated as a national disgrace as big as if they'd gone round ripping out wheelchair ramps

If children's story books had to pass accessibility testing, so many of them would fail basic colour contrast tests. All should be tested by being read in a dark, dimly lit room. Stop putting black text on dark blue, ffs.

This and spate of past posts suggests there's a accessibility person doing an awareness raising campaign by submitting points to Anon Opin.
