Training prisoners to work on release is a crucial part of reducing reoffending. This afternoon at HMP Berwyn, discussing prisoners' rehabilitation & preparation for release (& being trained in making pasta!). Thanks to Governor Nick Leader & Official@HMPBerwyn for a great visit.

Recently, one of our prisoners completed his 50th parkrun UK event, becoming the first ever to do so and earning a 50th run milestone t-shirt. Parkrun has been a great rehabilitative tool for prisoners, as it helps them to engage in purposeful activity and set and achieve goals.

6 years or so ago Shane Spencer a PEI at HMP Haverigg called me to ask if I would support parkrun UK in Haverigg. I immediately saw that this was ‘bringing the outside in’ and would be a great success - it was and continues to be. Bravo Shane and WCLimb Paul Bruce
