🚨 Breaking News 🚨 Mocking and blatantly dismissing the COVID-19 pandemic does not appear to eliminate one's risk. More to come.

I was so looking forward to speaking in #Newfoundland @memorialu Faculty of Medicine tomorrow, but won’t be making the trip to help #FlattenTheCurve. During times like this, we must vehemently support public health practices that protect us all. #Covid_19 #meded #cdnhealth

Had an awesome time working with Becky Power, Charlie Gillis, Christopher French and the rest of our team on this important project. Hopeful that these models can improve awareness of testicular cancer amongst both patients and medical learners.

Major congratulations to two of my incredible mentors: @qthipie and Joseph Cafazzo. The future of virtual cancer survivorship care is in good hands!

Greenwashing: "A form of marketing spin in which green PR (green values) and green marketing are deceptively used to persuade the public that an organization's products, aims and policies are environmentally friendly and therefore ‘better'."

A Faculty of Medicine student designed and developed a mobile phone-based, remote management system for heart failure patients living in #Uganda, Africa. It's just one of the many reasons he's been recognized with a national award honouring medical heroes. 🌟👏 ow.ly/xQ2950BUrqR

Grateful to be included in this new research by @drqpham. I learned so much about ethnoracial biases in clinical support tools, and how such biases may be worsened by more-sophisticated models. I hope this paper sparks discussion of how (and for whom) these tools are designed.
