Long story short: A massive theft of private property playing out right before our eyes. It's clear enough -- you just need to read what they're putting out there. Will the scheme work? Yet to be determined. The judge in the Pinnacle bankruptcy declined the City's request to

The tenant at the end of this video is right โ€” the City has many tools at its disposal to help these tenants and save these buildings. What the City does not have is the resources to deploy these tools en masse to a stock of housing they recognize is unsustainable at its core.

MC Squared Most people in market economies can feed themselves, and the reason is dull, not poetic: incentives, prices, and competition move food from where itโ€™s grown to where itโ€™s needed. That doesnโ€™t mean everything is fair, or that inequality canโ€™t be grotesque. It means the โ€œtwo

I find it weird that people think she is off-limits for criticism or for pointed questioning. She is charge of Mamdani's rent policies. And she has said very specific, consistent things over the years that indicate that she does not believe in a private rental market. This is ...

Everyoneโ€™s talking about a $12B budget gap but let me show you why the law capping renovations at $50,000 doesnโ€™t work today. Thereโ€™s some math here, stay with me.

It was barely a month ago that the Mayor's own law department argued in legal papers that 5,000 bankrupt apartments financed for just 90,000 per apartment were too expensive to sustain themselves with their current rents. What would be worthless enough I wonder? 10,000 per
