After an absolutely brilliant 18 months, today is my last day as Deputy Consul General UK in Erbil. It’s been busy, challenging but also a huge amount of fun. Thank you to everyone who has made my stay here so special - and to the superb ܪܘܢܙܐ for the highlights below!

Thank you very much for your time and engagement today and throughout my time in the #KRI kak Daban Shadala. I know Kate Shaw will enjoy many more great discussions, and I am looking forward to our next meeting.

I was honoured to join my colleagues in representing UK in Erbil at today’s dignified and sombre commemoration event.

The UK welcomes talks between the KDP and PUK today. A crucial first step to finding common ground for the benefit of the #KRI . We look forward to progress being made on key issues at the follow up meeting.

Congratulations to Government of Iraq - الحكومة العراقية 🇮🇶 on hosting a magnificent Gulf Cup ⚽️. The world has been impressed by Basra’s welcome to fans & by the Lions of Mesopotamia’s 🇮🇶 victory. Commiserations to Oman 🇴🇲. My thoughts are also with those affected by earlier incidents near the stadium.
