Thank you Dr. Nate Francis for sharing this quote with our PNP cohort- it’s so true and a perfect way to explain the need to provide supports for our students who do not always have positive opportunities! HCPS Leadership Development Hillsborough Schools

Just because some teachers would rather stay in the classroom than go into administration doesn’t mean they aren’t leaders. Many have amazing talents & ideas which can benefit a school by placing them in situations to use those talents. Embrace them and their talents!

How I start each day with my students. 1️⃣Stand at the door. 2️⃣Greet every student by name. 3️⃣ Ask them how they are doing. 4️⃣Tell them how glad you are to see them. 5️⃣Smile and be real. I firmly believe we have to #relate2educate It is part of being human!

Teachers teach because they're awesome humans. They also teach because they need to make a living and need to be paid as professionals. Let's stop convoluting the two.

Kids don't plan to come to school to get into trouble. Behaviour is a form of communication and quite often - the reason for it will make you sad, not angry.

Classroom teacher or not. If you work in a school, your hard work, effort, and everyday example are directly impacting the educational future of children.

Imagine if the people who see k-12 as a babysitter paid them as such. A very conservative figure would be: 30 students x 300 per week for 36 weeks = 324,000.00

In case you didn’t know- I made a HUGE career change about 5-6 months ago! Although there has been a giant learning curve, I am lucky to have a great team around me and the ability to work from home! I miss all my education friends and family but have enjoyed it so far!!!
