If true, then regulators in the U.S. will not have fully-effective interventions if the focus of U.S. regulatory action is on “foreign” disinformation and ignores by statute the actions of incentive-aligned actors within their own country. 8/8

For example, one might assess that several actors who hold rank in the highest levels of the U.S. government appear to be more closely aligned, perhaps by financial or blackmail incentives, to senior leaders in other countries. 6/8
