Our new study out in @jaacap led by our PhD student Claire Reed and @TicsResearch, with Dr Dennis Golm from Psychology at Soton . Children with #ADHD significantly lighter at birth but more likely to have #obesity at age 5 onwards. Importance of early prevention jaacap.org/article/S0890-…

The provincial government is trying to convince you that 11 km of bike lanes are responsible for Toronto's traffic woes. What will they blame when removing them makes traffic worse? Where is the same energy & enthusiasm to complete the Eglinton Crosstown? youtube.com/watch?v=e28TDI…

Thomas has been instrumental in supporting the first international research collaboration on the psychiatric consequences of the #22q11 deletion - which continues to bear fruits until today. He will be deeply missed.

At Council today, with a 21-4 vote, the Mayor and City Council voted for respecting local democracy, and made clear its opposition to Bill 212. With this message, we’re redoubling our focus on stopping this unprecedented provincial overreach and protecting our bike lanes. 3/

Thank you to University of Toronto for making your voice heard- Ford's plan to remove bike lanes costs money that is sorely needed elsewhere in our city and makes our communities less healthy and less safe. #TOpoli Cycle Toronto #toronto

Sincere apologies to Doug Ford for once again contributing to traffic congestion downtown #Toronto with my terrible habit of riding my #bike instead of my car. Forgive me!

Your math is wrong dude. Let me get this straight. All this time you thought a that an indirect cost rate of 60% meant that Universities took 60% of the grant? 🤦‍♂️

Jonathan Sebat (@sebatlab) 's Twitter Profile Photo

explainer for the tech bros. 60% is added on top of direct cost (and equipment are not included). So for every dollar that goes to a scientist, roughly $0.80 is allowable. Then you add 60% facilities/admin costs on top ($0.48). Uni’s final cut is $0.48/$1.48 =0.324 of the grant

Super stoked to share our new paper in Brain . This is the result of several years of intense collaborative work across labs and many international borders.
