This week we welcomed Karen (☁️UneFemme) & Alan into our research group LIIGH, who will work on characterising #melanoma-predisposing genetic variants. They'll stay for 2 months thanks to a Summer Research Project Fellowship by PASPCR & Colgate-Palmolive, administered by Proyecto Amigo Colima, A.C.!

A year ago I was about to drop out from college because I didn’t feel smart enough for science. Nowadays, I feel worthy, I’m getting a ton of lab experience, and I’m super motivated to do grad school. In case you needed to hear this today: life gets better. Don’t give up! ❤️

Today we’re doing solvent-solvent extraction of broth from hairy roots. It’s quite a workout! 💪😮‍💨
