I attended Piala Seri Endon today. This competition focusing on Malaysian batik is into its 17th edition, assessing batik in fashion, soft furnishings and handicrafts. Just pondering: wouldn’t it be nice if we could have a competition featuring all heirloom textiles?

The ASEAN Traditional Textiles Symposium was birthed in Indonesia, & for its 8th edition this year, Malaysia played host. The event is organised by The Royal Pahang Weave Foundation, helmed by Her Majesty the Queen of Malaysia.
