‘Learn from your mistakes’ is a saying that annoys me. How about learning from others’ mistakes or, even better, figuring things out & getting them right? The govt. says it has lessons to learn from its catastrophic incompetence. Bollocks. The information was all out there.

The Govt is just telling people what it thinks they want to hear. It is making a range of mutually incompatible promises, and is relying on the fact that most people simply won't notice, or care about, the detail. 2/10
