This is the speech I would have given in UK Parliament against assisted suicide. House of Lords must resist the drum beat of euthanasia demanding, instead, world class comprehensive palliative and hospice care. youtube.com/live/QliL4CGc7… -and

I’ve written in a bit more depth about my concerns regarding the unavoidable risk of coercion and abuse in introducing Assisted Dying bill to England and Wales. As they say, follow the money… 🙄 drmusgrave.substack.com/p/assisted-dyi…

So it is fine for influential people to privately advocate for a change in the law under which vulnerable people will foreseeably come to harm, and their only regret is that their thoughts are made public?

“Assisted dying” or “#assistedsuicide”? Lord Moore says that the Bill's supporters champion autonomy; it should follow that the language embodies the person's agency. “It's very contradictory to advocate autonomy, then take refuge in euphemism.”

Did he think Tanni Grey-Thompson wouldn’t notice this? Why is he trying to weaken the safeguards for the learning disabled which were established in the Commons by Daniel Francis MP?

Doing assisted death/suicide medical consultations via remote video like Zoom is NOT SAFE A gift to any coercive controllers and bad for medical assessment. Amazing this even has to be argued by Baroness (Dr) Finlay in House of Lords It was something we learnt during Covid
