Actual results of this experiment labeling activated LC-projecting ACC neurons left everyone a little stumped, but did make for a really pretty picture - image credit to Jason Rehg 🔬🧠🔵
I know you've all seen these LC-projecting cortical neurons enough now, but it's hard to not develop a bit of an obsession with them - they are really just stunning. Image credit to Jason Rehg #FluorescenceFriday 🔬🧠🔵
Super excited to have this preprint from our Circuits Team - led by jorge miranda Suhaas S. Adiraju Jason Rehg and collaboration with Gregory Carr, out online using in vivo imaging to assess patterns of neural activity in prelimbic cortex neurons during sustained attention
#FluorescenceFriday: Anatomical confirmation of GRIN lens track above the LC (TH= red, hsyn-GCaMP (green). Not perfect but we are getting close for good recordings in the brain stem in the circuits team in the Keri Martinowich lab. Credit to my RA Daniel Olivares for the pic.
For #FluorescenceFriday - more LC-projecting cortical neurons from our circuits team because they are just that pretty. Jason Rehg jorge miranda 💙🔬🤩
Inspired by Keri Martinowich post for #FluorescenceFriday, a little more of LC-projecting cortical neurons. Now, with Fos staining (red) after chemogenetic activation of LC-projecting neurons (green). Keri Martinowich, Jason Rehg and I love these neurons, as you can see.
New study led by Tyler Li from Gregory Carr lab combining traditional analyses of the rodent continuous performance task with pose estimation using DeepLabCut and visual field analysis to measure mouse orientation toward stimuli.
For #FluorescenceFriday - more locus coeruleus -projecting cortical neurons because we just can't get enough of these cells ;) Image credit to Jason Rehg 💙🔬🤩
yes, we have a little obsession with LC-projecting cortical neurons (green) in the Keri Martinowich group. But I think we are expanding our obsession to midbrain-projecting cortical neurons (red) too!! #FluorescenceFriday
Cortical neurons headed to the locus coeruleus 🟢 or ventral tegmental area 🔴 - credit to jorge miranda Daniel Olivares Jason Rehg Jason Rehg, who is applying to grad school this cycle, will be presenting work from this project Society for Neuroscience (SfN) if you are interested! #FluorescenceFriday
In honor of the first #FluorescenceFriday of fall, here’s an image that reminds me of the changing colors we’ll be seeing soon 🍁 from an experiment jorge miranda Daniel Olivares and I are running! GCaMP 🟢 in prelimbic neurons with a colabeled LC-projecting sub population 🟠
Fos staining 🟢 in LC-NE neurons 🟣 - We can't hide we love what we do in the circuits team in the Keri Martinowich group. If you are curious about the story behind this pic, please stop by Jason Rehg poster at #SFN24. #FluorescenceFriday
Division of Translational Neuroscience Lieber Institute will be at #SfN24! Presentations span mice, monkeys and humans from molecular to cellular through circuits and behavior. If you are interested in what we do, please stop by! Jason Rehg Michael Totty @R_Phillips_3rd Yufeng Du 杜御风
Colors reversed this week: cortical projections bound for LC 🔴 or VTA 🟢. Totally love the images coming out of these experiments and just can't get enough ;) Image credits to Jason Rehg jorge miranda #FluorescenceFriday and come check us out at #SfN24 🧠🤩🔬
Fos expression ⚪️ after chemogenetic activation of PFC-LC projectors🔴. Are you interested in its effect on a sustained attention task #rCPT? Then stop by Jason Rehg poster at #SFN2024. He'll show some of the work we do in the circuits team in Keri Martinowich group. #FluorescenceFriday
