There is an interesting rationale behind studies testing strategies that exclude oral anticoagulation during the first month in patients with atrial fibrillation undergoing PCI, such as MATRIX-2 (evaluating single antiplatelet therapy) and WOEST-3 (evaluating DAPT). 1/4

A consensus paper on transcatheter valve failure, defining bioprosthetic valve deterioration in an imaging-focused context. It outlines standardized echocardiography, CT, MRI, and PET/CT protocols for post-TAVR follow-up, redo-TAV planning, and post–redo-TAV assessment.

Great to see this paper published! Imaging is so important to optimize outcome and we need to overcome the barriers to implement this as a routine in clinical practice. Only question that remains is in all patients or just those with a higher degree of complexity?

The European Valve Durability TAVI Registry highlights the long-term performance of TAVI. The incidence of moderate or severe structural valve deterioration (SVD) during long-term follow-up was relatively low, with severe SVD being even rarer than moderate SVD. SVD occurred more
