Great to see so many Ormiston Chadwick Yr11 students giving up their time today at the 'I ❤️ History' Valentine's Day session. Who doesn't love writing Elizabeth I mind maps on a desk? History National Network (Ormiston Academies)

This evening I've been writing and uploading narrated PowerPoint presentations (blast from the lock-down past there), focusing on how to approach and answer Pearson Edexcel GCSE History, ready for the forthcoming mock exams Ormiston Chadwick History National Network (Ormiston Academies)

Inspired by Fiona Sheriff 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧🌍 and Helen Pipe🌍 Geography equivalents, I’ve put my own twist on things for GCSE Edexcel History question stems. ‘If faced with… respond with… where found?’, gives students a one point of reference prompt with direct advice on Q approach. #historyteacher

En-route to Wolverhampton for my first History National Network (Ormiston Academies) Face to Face for a couple of years. Should be a very useful day, although the regionalisation of these events means it's a shame I can't catch up with Sian today.

Truly abysmal service from the Charlotte Tilbury counter John Lewis & Partners in Liverpool One. Disinterested to say the least, and no mention of "thank you." No wonder retail is dying a slow death.

Really enjoyed this vintage WWII submarine warfare game, attempting to sink allied convoys during the Battle of the Atlantic. Great fun, although extremely hard to locate and destroy those cargo ships... BoardGameGeek

Really enjoyed updating and planning this mini enquiry for Y7 focusing on the development of the Islamic Empires in Asia and N Africa, the House of Wisdom, medicine, and the influence of this on medieval Europe. Ormiston Chadwick History National Network (Ormiston Academies)

Another history day out for the children over Easter, Science and Industry Museum although sadly they seemed more interested in the science of gaming, rather than more industrial heritage!

Watching Pointless Celebrities this evening and noted that in the round Top Tier Football Clubs past and present Richard Osman noted that Bradford Park Avenue are "no longer with us" I'm sure the good folks Bradford PA AFC might disagree.
