I welcome today’s agreement in #Coreper on the final text of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive.   This EU-wide legislation will allow to set a level playing field in the Single Market, to the benefit of European companies, as well as of trading partners. 1/3

#CSDDD ensures that large companies effectively address adverse human rights and environmental impacts in their own operations and in their chains of activities and promotes closer engagement with partners in global supply chains. 2/3
