Promise not to raise taxes on working people is, and always was, meaningless. Who else can pay tax? Employer NI paid by working people in lower wages or fewer jobs. Scale of required tax rises could make it v hard to avoid raising VAT, NI or income tax. thetimes.com/article/eb5044…

Are you proud of her vindictive winter fuel cut; her vindictive tax on farmers; her spiteful tax on private school fees; her NI hike, which has seen hiring fall and unemployment rise; her borrowing £40bn for above-inflation public-sector pay rises; growth stalling … ?

One year into a The Labour Party government Tim Roca MP No growth, no reform of welfare, just a series of U-turns by a lame-duck PM who can be pushed around by his MPs and won’t fight the next election. Unemployment up, taxes up and more to come at the next budget. Same old Labour
