On this beautiful Sunday morning, I opened an email with my new student loan payment calculation. My monthly payment has doubled. As a general pediatrician in the public sector in NY, my student loan payment will now be a 1/3 of my paycheck. Something's got to give. U.S. Department of Education

As a first gen with $300k+ in student loan debt working in the public sector, it's really disheartening. Pediatrics is a beautiful and rewarding field but the system is failing to recognize that we can't recruit if we don't show we value our pediatricians. American Academy of Pediatrics Joe Biden

What an awe-inspiring event in the presence of Latino excellence. Humbled to be on National Hispanic Medical Association National Hispanic Health Foundation (NHHF) ‘s inaugural Top 40 under 40. Upward and onward. #LatinasInMedicine

“Physicians serving the city’s most vulnerable populations are not seeking extravagant salaries. Instead, we advocate for fair compensation to address the worsening shortages,” write Dr. Bronson Joseph Raja & Joanne M. Fernández-Booker of Doctors Council SEIU bit.ly/4cAvPZ4

It’s beginning to look a lot like….chaos. It’s viral season and Mayor Adams’ window to address the doctors’ work stoppage in our safety net hospitals is rapidly closing. #cc: New York Post New York Daily News The New York Times doctorscouncil.org/news/nyc-healt…

Attending Physicians working for the private sector affiliates of NYC Health + Hospitals (NYC H+H), including PAGNY and Mount Sinai Health System, announced Thursday that they have voted overwhelmingly in favor of a work stoppage. doctorscouncil.org/news/nyc-healt…

BREAKING: Nearly 1,000 NYC Health + Hospitals doctors are preparing to go on strike Jan. 13. It would be the largest work stoppage by attending physicians in NYC history, per Doctors Council SEIU. Four hospitals would be affected: Jacobi, North Central Bronx, Queens and South Brooklyn.
