Into the unknown ... Conor O Brien (1880-1952) of Foynes departed Dún Laoghaire Harbour on 20.6.1923 in a small sailing boat Saoirse. He returned on 20.6.1925, the first Irishman to circumnavigate the world, rounding the three great capes. 📷 Seamus Kearns Postcard Collection.
