We need to rip up these behaviourist approaches to stop young people from suppressing their emotions in educational establishments. We need to let them feel them. Why? Suppressing their feelings pushes their inner world into loneliness, causing more distress, worry & anxiety 🧠🌱

Just to be clear: Amber Thurman's death was not a tragic mistake. It is the logical outcome of the Georgia abortion ban working exactly as intended by horifically punishing women who try to access abortion care.

Running the Red Queen's Race with a pathogen can lead to evolution of host resistance, but it's a slow, bloody business. Using evolution to manage a disease is like using arson to manage wildfire risk. Unmitigated disease spread is not a controlled burn. (10/)

GC I believe it's unique to ME and if you have PEM you have ME. The key thing to understand is that repeated PEM can worsen your baseline level of functioning and progress the disease. People can end up 100% bedbound unable to speak, tolerate light, touch, sound etc because of PEM.

I completely agree. We can absolutely handle airborne disease. It’s a completely tractable engineering problem, just like water-borne disease was in the era of Cholera. We decided to install water purification and handling, sewers and septic tanks, and we solved the problem.
