I am a happier person now. Two per day. One early in the morning, and before going to sleep. You can be happier also #kotlin #Mindfulness

Discovering parametric polymorphism in #Kotlin extension receivers. Almost a year with it and I didn't even notice them. OMG those are like Scala implicits.Endless super powers.

I'd dare to say that #software management changed a lot over the last 20y for dynamic and changing markets. However, I continuously spot managers, managing as If they were competing in fixed and low moving ones: they want to win today, but all energy is lost planning for tomorrow

Created a blog on my GitHub Github Pages, and I posted the first article 🥳 I hope to share cool Kotlin by JetBrains knowledge. I plan to write a lot about Λrrow, coroutines, back-end, and much more! Hope you enjoy this article about Continuations. nomisrev.github.io/continuation-m…

One of the most frustrating examples of Agilewashing I’ve experienced was a mid-sized company (~200 devs?) doing rigidly enforced Scrum while enforcing a quarterly plan that specified the stories you must implement over the next 3 months. Lots of Scrum. Zero agility.

Allen Holub. https://linkedIn.com/in/allenholub Just 3 months. And about quarterly plans with Stories defined for all four quarters. "Here is the features planed to Q1 and thats to Q2, how Many time you think will take to develop that feature?" The Feature planed for 4 months ahead.

Trust is one of the most important success factors in software development. It can take months to build trust in a soft dev team and only seconds to destroy it. Soft managers should be investing more in building and maintaining trust than in being Scrum-Agile-Whatever experts.

To all of u that know me: today I am learning Next.js, after recommendation of my friend Joan León 🏞️⚡️ . I think this is the sign of weird times: "For false BE and false FE will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect." Ivan 24:24

What Fernando Alonso and Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team did today is awesome. This is a great lesson on how an engineering project involving innovation should be managed & executed. How a product could go from sub-standard to almost optimal in such short number of iterations? Kudos Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team

Today my manager made my day. Interesting new tech projects are coming and chances to continue feeding my 30 years software engineer career arise. After so long time in that industry I am already motivated enough to build software and helping others to do it. Thanks Adevinta Spain Eng.

I've just played #SpaceInvaders on a #SinclairZXSpectrum emulator. Thinking how awesome those engineers were. 1 year before IBM PC they figured out how to take advantage of a tape recorder and a TV as computer I/O and made millions of little users happy.
