Odd to think Conan O'Brien might be a distant cousin of Galbally's Ned O'Brien, who spent time in #newyork and #Chicago in 1920 smuggling guns back to Ireland alongside Dan Breen, Seán Hogan and James Scanlon, following the Knocklong rescue

This weeks dugout. East Limerick Brigade HQ in 1921, a sunken area over 7m long, within a 'double-ditch'. Accessed through trap door, it had 4 bunks, an office and cooking area, and housed 3 Vols up until the Truce. We are now Research Ireland COALESCE fund, UCD Archaeology, Dublin Abarta Heritage

An arms dump remembered locally but no documents referred to it. A depression survived covered by leaf litter but confirmation is the upper rim of a milk churn, a well-known method used in the 1920s.
