The show must go on! Student presentations for UNCW Department of Earth and Ocean Sciences OCN 350 (Advanced Oceanography) were interrupted by a fire alarm. Evacuated to drizzling outdoor conditions. I asked the students what they wanted to do, and they opted to carry on, using an iPad for outdoor presentations!

New favorite autocorrect. I often wonder if this is a more appropriate label for myself too. Thanks for the confidence boost, macbook.

Everything I coded that day never even made it into the manuscript. We cut that whole section. A manuscript I don’t think we submitted until February in the end? It’s not as urgent as it feels. Enjoy the holiday. Enjoy your family. Take a REST. A real, well-deserved rest.
