ICU stories: 60 yo pt is admitted w AKI on CKD. Potassium is 6.3 & ECG shows tall T waves. You ask for Ca chloride 10% to be given iv stat. A few seconds later, patient looks like "seizing" & becomes drowsy. Monitor (from a distance) shows irregular heart rate. What happened?
