This is extremely significant. Former 🇮🇱 Prime Minister Ehud Olmert (2006-9) wrote in a May 22 Haaretz op-ed that Israel is: 🔴 intentionally waging a war of annihilation 🔴 premeditatedly adopting a policy of starvation 🔴 massacring civilians 🔴 making declarations of genocide

This isn’t complicated. The obvious move to win back the working class is to moderate on culture and move left on the economy, which is where voters are. But nobody wants to do that, so instead we get these weird anthropological studies, as if what the public wants is a mystery.

Worth repeating - MISO and Entergy have virtually no renewables in this region. Can we finally admit that not every outage is the fault of renewables? In fact - the vast majority of outages are not.

The times we live in. How will Beijing react? Publicly, my wager is they'll object and condemn this move. Privately, I think there will be some corks popped.

A HISTORIC MILESTONE: For the first time, solar power generated more electricity globally than nuclear, making it the world’s 4th largest power source. In just 5 years, solar output nearly tripled—from 79 TWh (Apr 2020) to 233 TWh (Apr 2025). The energy transition is speeding up.

We must manufacture batteries at scale here in the US if we want to have any shot at the very near future of defense, robotics, mobility, and energy. Basically everything that matters right now goes back to batteries.

Texas politics are wild, but this is great news! Hopefully, the rest of America follows suit: nationalinterest.org/blog/energy-wo…

The Legislature has concluded its biennial 140-day sprint, rejecting proposals that would have kneecapped the Texas economy. Here's a look at some of the energy bills #txlege did — and didn't — pass in the session that ended yesterday. douglewin.com/p/its-finally-…

Demand near 76,000 megawatts in ERCOT today with over 16,000 megawatts-worth of gas & coal plants offline. About 94% of those thermal outages are unplanned. No energy emergencies or scarcity as solar & wind are meeting more than 50% of peak demand.

Several US automakers are considering moving some auto parts manufacturing to China to get around China’s export controls on rare earth magnets, according to The Wall Street Journal. To state the obvious, this is exactly the opposite of what Trump’s tariffs were aiming to do. WSJ: Automakers Race
