I have a journal devoted entirely to how I feel when I’m in the low of my emotional wave. It’s been helpful, because when I come back to it later, I’m able to see and understand just how exaggerated and irrational I can be in that state.

Forcing yourself to be "in alignment" is not healthy. You can allow the awareness of imbalances be enough, you know? Sometimes we are holding onto coping mechanisms because we still need them to survive. That's okay. That's what they're there for. Have so much self-compassion.
