James Milner the spec lets you generate non-backwards-compatible files with only alt-crs coordinates and null geometry members for every features, and i suspect that many writers will do exactly that, and then all geojson readers will have to explicitly switch on these two flavors of spec

the ogc are just bad stewards of specs imho
