When the best chart is no chart.

Two outliers ruin your whole chart by compressing the visual variation plus there's some leader line mania. Perhaps a sorted list with subtle color coding would've worked better.

Looking over this Amazon offering of Routing optimized over multiple dimensions--very cool.

Formula 1–the most sophisticated data-driven sport.

Formula 1 team—we used Excel to track out car’s 20,000 parts and it isn’t going well.

Moral: never, ever underestimate the dependence of “sophisticated” orgs on spreadsheets.

We were told “niches get riches”.

But the experience in GIS is that we are consistently underpaid compared to our IT counterparts.

Loved this convo with .@Geo_will and Daniel ( MapScaping )

If you’re in the Geo consulting mix you need to get one thing straight:

Your product isn’t a map.

Your product isn’t spatial analysis.

Your product is Middle Manager Risk Mitigation.
