Spent the morning listening to capstone presentations from Midland University - Walker School of Education #NBCT candidates as they prepare to submit their portfolios to NBPTS in May. What a privilege it’s been to see these candidates grow personally and professionally over the past year.

It is a much needed mind shift to recognize that students misbehave because the problematic behavior meets their needs. Until appropriate behaviors are reinforced and become more effective in meeting those needs than the misbehavior, problematic behavior will continue.
