And it's all very well for male leaders at NHS Confederation to imply sorting out female patients' rights to request single sex wards is a distraction, but perhaps they could ask female patients if it's important to them? They might be surprised by the answer.

If NHS Confederation doesn't want a 'culture war' why did it publish guidance encouraging hospitals to act unlawfully on requests for single-sex care? Guidance is *still* online despite fact I & others have pointed out it gets the law wrong.

In reality female & male are technical terms that refer to biological sex. Sex is immutable. Females are oppressed & discriminated against by being reduced to their biological sex. Sex stereotypes (gender) are the tools of oppression. Hence feminists oppose gender stereotypes.

It clearly wasn’t one thing alone that did for Humza Yousaf and the SNP-Green coalition but it is strange to see this one very important thing being underplayed in some reporting.
