Having spent time getting to know the locals in Funafuti, we couldn't resist a follow up stop in Vaitupu, Tuvalu 🇹🇻 We were warmly greeted by the 6 Elders of the island, attended school assembly and played volleyball all afternoon. We really want to go back some day soon 🙏

Knowing me, knowing Nauru 🇳🇷 The first RN visit in living memory! One major benefit to our size means that we can gain access to a huge array of otherwise hard to reach locations. This time, we visited Nauru and opened our gangway to their President and friendly inhabitants 🚢

On Saturday, we welcomed over 700 people on board. It was great to be able to share a glimpse of life in the Royal Navy and to return the warm welcome we have all received since arriving in Wellington. Thank you for joining us 🇳🇿⚓️

This evening in Wellington 🇳🇿, Royal Navy vessel HMS Tamar hosted 🇬🇧 Minister Catherine West and guests onboard for a reception. Earlier the Minister had a tour with the Captain and heard about the great work the ship is doing in the Pacific to promote prosperity & security.
