Good example of why first past the post, & adversarial system of Westminster, doesn't solve problems. It's good at generating gotchas and social media hits for broadcasters, but for cooperation & problem-solving around long-term policy areas it couldn't be less fit for purpose.

Whenever I visit London I’m fascinated by the distinctive sound of the Jubilee Line trains accelerating. Last time I visited, I thought of the idea to turn it into a pad, and it has now become a staple sound in one of my current game projects.

The results of the world’s largest trial of a 4-day week (with no loss of pay) are out: ▪️ No drop in revenue ▪️ 65% fewer sick days ▪️ 71% less burnout ▪️ 92% of companies decide to keep the policy after the trial The conclusion is clear: we need a shorter working week.

I am pleased to see that momentum for a 4-day week continues to grow. The evidence is clear: a reduction in hours boosts productivity & improves wellbeing. As we said in our 2019 manifesto, "time off to rest, relax and be with family is essential to a happy & fulfilling life."

France: "We are increasing the retirement age by two years" The French: "We will drop kick the eiffel tower into the fucking moon if you do" Britain: "We've made it easier for old rich people to stay rich and if you're poor you can never retire" Brits: "oh crumbs oh bother"
