Prediction #3 for 2026. The industrial carbon tax will rise to $110 per MT on April 1, 2026 (from $95 per MT), and almost no one will care. With the “retail” portion of the tax gone, the increase will largely escape public attention—despite continued cost pressures upstream.

Eat what you want. I’ll eat what I want. But claiming that eating meat is associated with white supremacy, colonialism, racism and toxic masculinity is just bonkers. Yet, what this woman says is considered normal thinking on campuses around the West.

One question for grocers. There is a blackout period every year between November 1 and February 1 across the country, during which grocers do not accept price increases from suppliers. How, then, did food prices rise so sharply in December—right in the middle of that blackout

It's true, Carney played up the trade agreement with China. Made it sound bigger than it is. Now, he's walking that back. The bigger issue in what he agreed to with China are the other elements of what he calls the strategic partnership.

Michael Gerald Gibbs🏳️‍🌈🍁 🇺🇦 (He/Him) Why is it always the Liberals telling Conservatives what they should do and what’s best for the country? It’s hilarious and I get secondhand embarrassment for you, every time I see a dumb post like this. Stay in your own lane kid. Now, go worry about Donald Trump. *Shoo*

Prime Minister Carney, You have given Canada the worst food inflation in the G7. Food Banks Canada CEO says the numbers are "shocking." Food bank use has doubled under this Liberal government. 2.2 million visits in a single month. 1/3 are children. This is the gap between

They destroyed affordability. Then blamed the G7. Then promised Lamborghinis by 2030. All powered by windmills and battery factories. How many empty speeches do Canadians need listen to before Canadians wake up

"Dear Peasants: Here are some leftover crumbs of the money we have taken from you, ran through our government washing machine and redistributed to bureaucrats, insiders and other foreign nations. You may now rejoice and revel in my great act of kindness as your saviour." 🙄

Scheer responds to Carney's announced grocery GST top up. "Today's announcement is a recycled Trudeau-era policy. It will not provide relief. It's a temporary measure that won't even cover one trip to the grocery store for the average working family."

Canadian food prices are rising the fastest in the G7, after a year of Mark Carney. His inflationary deficits and rising fuel taxes on farmers and truckers are making groceries unaffordable. Reviving a Trudeau-era rebate that barely gives people enough for a trip to the store

"Our agri-food sector depends on CUSMA, so seeing our Prime Minister pick a fight with the United States is making many in the food industry deeply uneasy."

Happy for the 12 million Canadians getting more GST credit to help make ends meet. The expanded program will cost nearly $12 billion—money that was not in the federal budget. How many reporters asked Carney how Canadians will pay for it? Zero.
