Fantastic to see hepburn energy will be adding a community battery to complement their wind turbines. As the first community wind farm to be built on Australia’s main grid, it's great to see them going from strength to strength 👏 reneweconomy.com.au/pioneering-com…

Thanks @RenewEconomy for covering this big news about our community battery!🔋 This will be a key foundation for our aspirations to add 5MW solar & work towards 5-10MWh storage. We're excited to get to work! reneweconomy.com.au/pioneering-com…

When I started reporting on climate change, the prediction was the Arctic could be sea-ice-free in summer by the 2070s. Now? By the 2030s. nytimes.com/2023/06/06/cli…

1/2 Great to see the Fed Gov help community facilities decarbonise, reduce bills and boost their resilience. A big kudos to community energy groups who have been independently championing projects like these off their own backs for over a decade! canberratimes.com.au/story/8235931/…

So. Good. 300 Goulburn residents have bought into a solar farm being built by a community org on the town's outskirts to feed power into the grid. "I think people are just excited that the community is owning it and it's not some big foreign company." abc.net.au/news/2023-08-1…

The first global temperature data is in for the full month of September. This month was, in my professional opinion as a climate scientist – absolutely gobsmackingly bananas. JRA-55 beat the prior monthly record by over 0.5C, and was around 1.8C warmer than preindutrial levels.
