1/2 It’s very interesting when you’ve been in hospital for so long, to observe the nurses and patients interaction. Some of the nurses don’t have an ounce of compassion. But also some of the patients are rude beyond belief to the nurses ( and I include healthcare assistants etc)

2/2 and I know pain can do horrible things to people but there is no excuse for treating someone like they’ve fallen off the bottom of your shoe. Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS FT I am sure the nurses use my motto Kill Them With Kindness!!

Whoops I seem to have been misconstrued. I was talking about rudeness from PATIENTS not nurses this time.

Just finished a book called My Absolute Darling by Gabriel Tallent. Oh my goodness. What a grim book. But amazing too.

Spoke too soon. Two seizures in the last 12 hours.

Change of plan. Coming out today. It’s been a long 8? Weeks. Made many friends. Staff and patients. Tho shocking state of the NHS. Too much paperwork. Not enough staff.

Not walking much. Radiotherapy addled. Chemo starting on Monday. Wheelchair bound. Useless shaking arm. But going home. #PositiveRehab

Now for brain chemo. Can’t remember what day it is. #whoamI

1/3 Hello, this is Paul, Helen’s husband. I’m sorry to tell you Helen passed away at Willen Hospice yesterday afternoon. She’s been peacefully asleep for much of the last 10 days or so, and wasn’t in pain. Her last afternoon was with her family and some of her many friends

2/3 We listened to A-ha, chatted and laughed. Exactly as Helen would have wanted it. Don’t be sad. Helen would want you to celebrate her life and how AMAZING she was. I’ll announce her funeral details here when they’ve been arranged.

Yesterday, we learnt that our friend and broadcaster Helen Legh had passed away. She was diagnosed with a glioblastoma in 2014. Her husband Paul told us: "The huge outpouring of love has been a great comfort for us this week." 💕 Read Helen's story 👉 lght.ly/153nok3
