I don’t care WHAT y’all see me accomplish, I still need the help. I still need the support, I still need the guidance, I still need the encouragement. There’s no level I’ll ever reach where I don’t need these things.

It's so funny how cis people are so hesitant to use they/them for anybody until they're talking about a trans woman who uses she/her and suddenly they know exactly how they/them works perfectly

Emmett Till would have been 81 years old. 5 Senators & 13 Representatives are all older than that today. Don't act like this is all ancient history when that history is still in power.

8 are low odds (he’s very mathematical minded 😂) so the penny dropped! I said all schools are like this! This is why autistic ppl struggle to make friends at school but the real world isn’t like that - you get to move about and up your odds! 5/6

I never anticipated how my weighted blanket would relieve my back/neck/hip pain so much because I’m relaxed when I sleep now, not in a tight, stressed ball like a frightened armadillo

Thing is, I have never met a chronically ill disabled person pretend to be sick or exaggerate their illness for "benefits" but I sure as heck have seen them pretend to be well and power through their pain because ableism demands that of them. Miss me with this "fraud" BS.

Why is the conversation always “look how many people think they have/are something because of the Internet” and not “WOW, why is our screening for this SO BAD that people find out they potentially have it ON THE INTERNET” Does nobody realize THAT is the point?

It’s not just ADHD. It’s many forms of mental health conditions that with symptom overlap and inability to communicate clearly the symptoms a person could be misdiagnosed. It happens. Accuracy in diagnosis COULD mean more people have it than we realized.

So educators, if you're also being told this in trainings or somewhere, I invite you to push back on it. It's not right. "Neurodiversity" isn't just about autism. "Neurodivergent" isn't a euphemism for "autistic." 4/
