1st Gr worked on how choosing the right strategy can help make problem solving easier. After rolling a target number, Ss dice to reach that target using addition. Ss discussed which strategy would allow them to reach the finish faster! Future problem solvers in 1st grade!

Would you rather have 1 elephant or 440 Corgis?? This may sound like nonsense, but these 4th graders used Byrdseed.TV to help them MAKE SENSE of their measurement skills! They had a blast estimating & interpreting numbers based on US customary units.

Fourth graders began thinking like scientists! Students were able to create a dichotomous key for classifying candy as a class, then they began working in small groups to create a key to classify shells!

Ss began learning about computational thinking, with a focus on pattern recognition & decomposition. Ss were able to play the game Cluemaster in small groups to practice their logic and deductive reasoning while looking for patterns and breaking down problems into smaller parts.
