We would all do well to take time to consider the causes of behaviour (trauma, pain, hurt, confusion , frustration and anxiety) rather than viewing a child as “naughty”. The same goes for adults too. Nobody is born inherently ‘bad’. There is ALWAYS a reason behind the behaviour!

The school my kids go to use isolation. It is especially harmful to my son with ADHD, he is effectively punished/discriminated for having his condition. It’s really about time there is a radical overhaul of school discipline. bbc.in/37SJzNt #SEND #edutwitter #education
