Defib pad placement is important. Positioning them correctly can double someone’s chance of survival. Side A is correct. The key difference is that the pad on the left hand side of the chest has been placed on the side of the rib cage, closer to the armpit.

Do you know the right way to check for breathing when someone is unresponsive? Tilt the head back and support the chin to open the airway. Then, get close and look, listen, and feel for normal breathing for no more than 10 seconds. That’s why the example on the left hand
