Keir Starmer That’s great to see but we desperately need actions not words from The Labour Party . You could start in your own back yard. Will you support your own constituent Dan Bruce and neighbours on Agar Grove, Camden to full extent of your power?

What are your thoughts on improving regulations and build quality Keir Starmer?

The building industry has demonstrably failed to deliver safe homes at scale.

Homebuyers need consumer rights to protect them, and hold the industry to account.

Will The Labour Party commit to this?

Last December, Mike Amesbury MP wrote to Lee Rowley requesting action be taken regarding 53 Agar Grove.

Mr Rowley hasn't responded yet, and Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities certainly hasn't progressed our case.

We've included it as part of a wider request for information to Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities and Michael Gove.

For Financial Conduct Authority to ponder:

Leasehold secret commissions are arguably more cynical than the emerging PCP car finance scandal. And that’s bad

LHers are true captives, not entitled to certain info. If they don’t pay in full they can lose their home. Car buyers didn’t have that threat

Matthew Pennycook MP No more residential long leasehold in England / Wales, and get rid of the allowable up to 2 new floors on existing blocks of flats development rule. Proper consumer protection for new home buyers, far too many defective buildings constructed in the last 25 years.

A day of house visits, street meetings and canvassing has highlighted heartbreaking stories of families let down by what should have been dream homes.

From building standards to estate mgmt, we need to get serious about the regulation of new homes 👇

The story of Agar Grove is a cautionary tale for anyone buying a house. Now is not the time for Michael Gove to be watering down , and its well past time that Keir Starmer stood up publicly for his constituents.

It's 5 years today since I completed on the property that was meant to be my dream home.

It's been five years of heartbreak, five years in which Michael Gove could have taken substantive action but didn't.

Keir Starmer, please don't let it be another 5; I won't survive it.

.Michael Gove isn’t it time you sent those involved with Agar Grove a bill?

It’s been 5 years and hundreds of thousands in legal fees so far; will you get behind this Keir Starmer?

“Both Number 10 and the Treasury have met representatives of freeholders but not leaseholders”

The epitome of corruption in our housing system writ large — shame on Rishi Sunak Jeremy Hunt

This is why we are stuck with broken, lamentable feudal misery
